Interlaced Indigo is a statement piece in deep navy, designed around strong sculptural lines and an unusual level of hand-finished detail. The sweeping sinamay brim creates an elegant, dramatic silhouette, balanced by a softly rounded crown and restrained embellishment that allows the workmanship to remain the focus.
One of the defining features of this piece is its hand-crocheted ribbon work.
The navy ribbon has been individually crocheted to form the decorative band around the crown, with the same detailing continued beneath the hat to finish the inner edge. Rather than treating the underside as something unseen, the design carries through from above to below, creating a beautifully considered finish from every angle.
At the side, sculpted navy sinamay and sheer crinoline form a light, sweeping accent. Delicate pearl-like beadwork moves through the arrangement, providing small points of light against the depth of the indigo navy without taking away from the clean structure of the hat.
Even the underside has been carefully finished, with softly gathered navy fabric radiating around the brim, the crocheted edging framing the crown, and a comb incorporated to help secure the hat when worn.
